Charles Brackeen Quartet - Attainment download free

An exceptional Jazz recording for the mid 80's or any other era from one of the more underexposed saxophonists of avant garde jazz. Brackeen's sax playing is consistently smooth and weightless yet crisp and invigorating with a wide range of bright hues and fluid movements. The rhythm section of Cyrille and Hopkins is rock solid with an open palette of ideas while closely following Brackeen's lead. I recently discovered this fine release and was instantly drawn in.
