The re-mastered CD-edition of the 1969’s debut album by CHARISMA, a rhythm-n-blues band from New Britain, Connecticut who started their career under the name THE MANTIQUES. Signing a contract deal with Roulette Records, the band was forced with their new management to change their original name for CHARISMA. Their self-titled album was recorded at Incredible Sound Studios in NYC and presented a bunch of orchestrated Rhythm-N-Blues songs with soulful vocals. The music is colorful and groovy, not without traces of classic Soul, Blues and Funk as well as Psychedelic Rock, Art-Rock and Hard Rock. Charisma disbanded in 1976. They ended up releasing only two albums both sold better in Europe than in the USA. Their self-titled debut LP is well recommended addition to any audiophile collection of old-time Rock-rarities.
