Warp 9 - Master Of The Mix download free

I just checked out "Master of the Mix" produced/written by Golden & Scher, performed by Warp 9. It sounds even better than I remember, and it was great when I heard it in the clubs. It kind of reminds me of Tom Tom Club. Not only are the beats and production killer, but the lyrics are really funny. It's a very story about the background vocalists in the song, asking the lead singer, who is the rapper and mixer (and pimp-like character) not to take them out of the final mix. The girls sing and plead to remain on the record, and (Bo Brown) the singer/rapper/mixer teases and eggs them on--way cool rap. Very clever to make mixing the record itself, the story. It's probably Lotti doing the BG vocals on this one. (With Arthur Baker she often worked with BJ Nelson and Tina B, but on Warp 9, generally she did the BGs herself.) I'm a retro futurist. This was a very creative time in music.
